I'm Aprilyn! I like sheep and I do artsies! I go to the Art Institute of Jacksonville, stumbling into Media Arts and Animation! I like to think myself silly and funny but I'm probably unspeakably lame. Oh, and I'm super nerdy so you can expect to see a lot of fandoms on here too.

….. it’s true. and the truth hurts. SO much.
*sigh*
I want to cry.

Uh. It just disappointed me so much how Mako was in this episode. His teammate is terrified and afraid, she’s being manipulated, and she goes off to fight Amon on her own with the big risk of having her bending taken away, and has the time to go on a date?  Korra needed friends and she was only limited to Tenzin. If I were her, I’d be mad at Mako for at least not caring and if he blew up in her face the next time for missing practice, I’m going to cut him.

Yep. I’m going to track down Sokka’s space sword and cut him with it. Like, all we got out of EITHER brother really was just a slightly-worried look after her announcement. I suppose both could be blinded by Korra’s incredible confidence, but they should have at least told her that it was a DUMB FUCKING IDEA. No, instead Mako went on a date and Bolin was off being his own awesome self. (I am as yet unable to have any feelings about Bolin except those involving squees.)

You are forgetting that it was Korra who wanted to fight Amon. Tenzin tried to stop her. It was her own reckless decision. I doubt that Mako would have changed her mind. Plus Mako and Bolin aren’t really helping Korra with the revolution, as of right now. Mako just came along with her in episode 3 because he wanted to get Bolin back. And he’s allowed to go on a date with Asami if he wants to. It was silly of Korra to join the task force and also to challenge Amon.

Yes, I think Mako’s a jerk for this; yes, I think it makes him one of my lesser liked charcters; yes, I’m going to stick to that. I know that you guys may not necessarily be trying to defend Bolin and Mako’s blatant disregard for what was going on, but I’m sure you all noticed their confused faces when Korra went up to speak. She was under a hell of a lot of pressure to say yes to the task force, and Tarrlok purposely made so Tenzin wasn’t there to support her decision and help her say no.
Bolin and Mako, on the other hand, should’ve stopped being oblivious when they saw that look on her face. Mako disappointed me already, even with the whole Masami thing going on. Bolin was barely paying attention to Korra’s actual problems and basically just hitting on her when he asked if he should “take care of” Tarrlok. WHERE WERE EITHER OF THEM WHEN SHE MADE THAT RADIO ANNOUNCEMENT? Training, yes? Well then I’m sure there would have been a radio nearby. Or at least someone in the arena would have been listening to the radio and gone talking about it, knowing well that the avatar was a part of a championship probending team and that she needed her bending to stand a chance. Maybe they didn’t tell for that precise reason. But I’m not trying to crack a conspiracy here, so I’ll end this already too long rant.
Yes, I supported Korra even though I’ve said she’s arrogant (which she was, but she got hit in the ego here) and she needed this taste of fear but she never acted like a coward or like she was too strong for anyone. Her actions were manipulated by Tarrlok. And I was more than angry at Bolin and Mako for not doing anything. Sorry if you disagree.

Mako and Bolin don’t owe Korra anything, except maybe a little bit of their concern, as she is a teammate. I still maintain that they wrote her off has having ~Avatar!duties and that she could deal with it, as sad as it might sound.

— Remember when I said I ship all the ships?

I took one look at Masami and blinked. Yeah not exactly my favored body of water. I just now realized I only ship all things moving and breathing with only Korra.

SHIP ALL KORRA-SHIPS.

I think that as Amon reaches for Korra to take away her bending, she will go into the Avatar State at the last minute, so I made this quickly. Bending is one of the most important things in her life, so this would likely trigger the Avatar State.

Just a theory…we’ll see what actually happens next Saturday!

Oh jesus. oh jesus. Amazing job here. I love her Avatar State eyes. Wow. If I’m blown away by this, I’m probably going to die when it actually happens.

Is it weird that I sort of ship the bad guy with Korra?
